The gallery will be presenting from May 29th to July 24th an exhibition of the french artist Pierre Buraglio, entitled "J1 Vol 3 + ...".
"J1 Vol 3" is the new part of an illustrated diary that the artist began in 2004.
"What is it about ? Very young children between 1940 and 1947, their ration card. About myself, consequently...
These are drawings, photos, texts, with pigment prints and gouache highlights.

"J1 Vol 3" (2010) is a portfolio made of 14 prints, highlighted with watercolor, colored pencils... These prints deal with the themes of the childhood and France during the war. Two off-prints and some original drawings will be exhibited, as well as the two previous part of the illustrated diary : "J1 Vol 1" (2004) and "J1 Vol 2" (2005).
In these three portfolios, Pierre Buraglio drawed, cut, sticked, put together images - his house, his father's car, banks of the river Marne - and words - onomatopoeia, soldiers voices, children words...
The historian and University teacher Annette Becker, who is specialized in cultural representations of war, is writing a text to go with the exhibition.
The gallery edits prints of Pierre Buraglio since 1993 and will also display a selection of his editions ("D'après... Poussin", "Autour de... Manet") and of his drawings.
