Born in Gabrovo, Bulgaria, in 1935. 
Lives and works in New York, USA.

Christo meets Jeanne-Claude when he arrived in Paris, in 1958. Since then, they started working together on theproject Packages and Wrapped Objects. In 1964 they settle in New York, where they start ephemeral and great projects intevening using fabrics on monuments or on whole landscapes. 
In the 1970’s Christo took part in the Suites Prisunic, edited by Jacques Putman.
