Born in Rebréchien (Loiret), in 1921. Died in 2012
Even though Pierre Courtin is a painter, he is above all an engraver, using mainly the chisel to create small bas-reliefs peopled with insects and animals.
He was member of the Jeune Gravure Contemporaine group from 1946 to 1956, worked for a while with Jacques Villon and as a printer in the Georges Leblanc atelier.
His engravings are printed very few times, seldom similar, and the material occupies a major place. He also participated in the Suites Prisunic adventure, where a small number of lithographies were edited by Jacques Putman.
