An artist born in 1979 in Romania, Dana Cojbuc now lives and works in Paris.

She graduated from The Art University of Bucarest (photography) in 2003 and the University of Communication in Athens in 2006. Her current artistic experiments in mixing both photography and drawing has been nourished by her continuous interest not just in photography but also in mixed media such as sculpture, painting, drawing and video.

The extensions drawn by hand bleeds over the images leads the viewer to confusion between the two medias sliding from the real into her interior world – the one of a dreamlike tale with the series Winter tale (2018-2019), or the one of a mythology of the nature with the series Yggdrasil( 2020-2021).

She is an European who has earned several scholarships and artistic residency in Greece, Germany, Finland, Norway, France, Austria, tried her hand at journalism, coordinated European artistic projects whilst continuing to construct a body of photographic work. Her work was exhibited in Sunnhorland Museum (Norway), during the photography triennale Backlight (Finland), in Circulation Festival (Paris), in Manifesto Festival (Toulouse).
